I had realized that the version 1.6 of BatchOS was not doing anything but crashing. Frustrated, I saw that the error was ')) was not expected at this time.' The first '))' I found was checking for DEBUG, so I had put pauses around that, and found that I should have put quotes.
Also, I updated a little:
-Now says windows username in start menu
-Fixed crashing on startup
-Fixed explorer bug when '..' would go back, but open another cmd window
So now it can be used! Huzzah!
